As a bachelor student (biological sciences), I am doing my research towards the Bachelor Thesis in this lab. Specifically, I am involved in the research of Paul Szyszka. My work involves analyzing complex learning capacities in honeybees, using the proboscis extension reflex. In addition I use calcium imaging in order to investigate the effect that learning has onto the physiological odor-response properties of olfactory projection neurons.
