Current research
Olfactory signaling in vertebrates and nematodes are mediated by G proteins (canonical signaling pathway).  But the olfactory signaling in insects remains unclear and is of deeply controversial.
My research is focused on this issue and I am trying to understand the role of G proteins in olfactory signaling of Drosophila melanogaster by combining in vivo and in vitro methods.
